Guppies (confirm introduction)
1. Low breeding cost
There are two reasons for this. First, the unit price of fish is low, and second, because of the small size of fish, small tools can be used, which requires less water, less electricity, and less fish food. Some people may say that if you raise a variety of fish, don't you need at least 5 tanks? There are 5 tanks in a series. Even if a group of tanks is used, a group of tanks is generally not larger than 1.2 meters. However, this type of tank is shorter and shallower than a 1.2 meter standard tank, so it still saves electricity and water. If you want to raise multiple strains, it is the same as raising dragons, turtles, and goldfish, so the cost will definitely go up. However, we are only comparing one unit, and this unit is for peacocks. For fish, it is "a strain".
The only thing that consumes electricity in my tank is that once the water pump heating rod fails, it will cause the water temperature of the fish tank to change gradually, which may lead to a large number of fish diseases. Some people may say that it is not convenient if you change the heating rod frequently? No matter how often you change it, it may have problems. "Frequent changing" can only keep its failure probability low, but it cannot guarantee 100% trouble-free. Some people say that it is inconvenient to use two? . I hope that the fish should meet the living temperature of human beings. I don’t stay in the ice cellar every day, and the minimum temperature in winter is at least 18 degrees. When I first raised peacocks, I let the peacocks successfully overwinter in a room with a minimum temperature of 18 degrees. No matter how short it is, I haven't tried it. No matter how low the temperature is, I can't stand it. However, I really admit that the peacock that successfully overwintered looks quite strong, and is by no means the weak type of Bai Zi. In addition, when the temperature is 18 to 22 degrees in winter, my guppy stops growing.
2. Growth is fun
Guppies usually mature for three months. After maturity, they will give birth to a litter of at least 30 animals at a time. Even if there is only one Regarding Peacock, we can see a batch of new small items come out every month, which is the greatest fun for me as a Jiaqi. The growth process of guppies is very fast, and it is almost the same every day. Because I like to raise guppies in a grass tank, this is even more interesting, because small fish like to be on the water surface when they are born, so one day you may suddenly find that there are so many small fish in densely packed areas. It's so spectacular. After a long time, you suddenly find that there are a lot less small fish all of a sudden, almost extinct, so you regret not fishing them out, because they may have been eaten by the big fish, but you still find it in the weeds by chance. I could see one or two small fishes, so I thought of these two small fishes and continued to feed the new year shrimps. I just hoped that they would grow up quickly so that the big fish would not be able to eat them. Five or six days later, you once again sprinkled a large number of young shrimps into the tank. You suddenly found that there were more small fish that had grown up. They were no longer the three or four you thought at first, but there were more. At least ten, so you become excited again. Originally, they all hid to avoid being chased by the big fish. It’s undeniable that when I raise fish like this, 10 are left at the end of 30, and the damage is still huge. However, I think this is the principle of natural removal. I think the big fish are not fighting and trying to insult each other, but to protect themselves. The number of a population is stable. There were originally 4 big fish in my 45cm tank and 3 big fish in the 60cm tank. However, there were almost 10 small fish left in the two tanks at the end. Over the past week, the number of small fish has stopped shrinking. I think on the one hand, the big fish can no longer eat the small fish. On the other hand, it may be that the big fish no longer wants to eat the small fish. It may also be that these small fish have enough. In this case, the temperature rises and falls as the sun rises and falls, which is consistent with the annual shrimps and the fish food I feed them when I am lazy, and the taste of my tap water. After that, the little fishes gradually went from being submerged and motionless at the bottom of the water, to poking their heads among the grass leaves, and finally to swimming proudly in every corner of the entire fish tank, and finally grew into beautiful and healthy big fish.
I like to watch small fish burrowing through the aquatic plants. Because guppies are originally surface fish, adult fish often do not They like to explore in the grass and holes, but the most fun situation for fish is the way of drilling back and forth, so the little guppies satisfy my hobbies, as if they are playing with me. Hide and seek is common.
3. Different forms, more fun to play
Guppies are divided into N strains, what are the single-color ones?Overcome ones, those with flowered tails, those with flowered waists, and in each strain there are albino, blue, and yellow ones. The pattern of the fins alone also has different orientations, such as those with big backs, satin-wearing, and triangular ones. Tailed, fan-tailed, sword-tailed. I haven't said everything yet. How many possibilities are there for the random matches you just mentioned? There must be one that suits you, right? As mentioned before, guppies grow very fast, with one nest a month and one generation in three months. There can be mutations in each nest, and hybridization can be carried out in each generation according to one's own aesthetic preferences. Even if it requires safety genes and purification, It only takes a few years at most to get the one you like most. For example, I like guppies with large plain-colored triangular tails. I think the large tail brace is like the big skirt of a European lady, which looks very free and elegant.
4. Gentle and splendid character
Guppies have a gentle character and can easily be mixed with other fish, such as lanterns, aliens, etc. It can only be killed and never harm other people (fish and shrimp that are too small can still be eaten, which is the nature of fish It's possible that it's nature, there's nothing you can do about it. Sometimes I raise simple strains of fish, but after seeing them too much, I get tired of them, so why not add some other creatures to the tank? The color of lantern fish is also very beautiful. If you are raising plain peacocks, it is best to add some lantern fish. One is a surface fish and the other is a middle-layer fish. It’s better to keep the water in the well and not in the river. The male peacock fish is chasing the female fish all the time. It is quite fun when two fish are entangled with each other. It is much more fun than a bunch of goldfish just raising their necks to eat.
