The Tibetan Bamboo Leaf Green Snake is green all over, has a very beautiful complexion, and is extremely valuable to observe. The body length can reach about 600mm. There are red and white vertical stripes on the sides of the body, irregular rusty red patches on the back of the body, light green on the ventral surface, and pure green on the tip of the tail.
The head of the Tibetan Bamboo Leaf Green Snake is relatively large and triangular, and is clearly connected to the neck area. There are small scales on the back of the head, and the scales between the nose are separated by one small scale. There are cheek pits, and the first upper lip scale is completely separated from the nose scale. There are 21 rows of scales on the middle section of the back. There are 15 to 17 rows of tiny ribs in the center; 155 to 161 abdominal scales; complete anal scales; 44 pairs of lower tail scales.
