morphological characteristics of the golden frog
golden frog

The important characteristic is that both the larvae and the mature adults of this frog can survive in water. This frog is easy to raise and has a wide range of uses. Even though it has healthy and muscular hind legs, it is only good at swimming and not good at jumping on land because of the fully webbed toes and the limited ability of its hands and feet to support the body.
The larvae of the golden frog are completely transparent, and you can clearly see the internal structure. The adult body is pink and very cute. The adult female golden frog is about 12.5 centimeters long, while the male is only half the length of the female. The body is plump and streamlined. The eyes are small, located above the back of the head, and have no base. There is no tongue and a single hole in the pharyngeal and satiety tubes. The hind limbs are strong, the toes are extremely webbed, and the three inner toes have claws at the end, hence the name Xenopus.
