Shetland Sheepdog (Definite Introduction)
The Shetland is small in size, has long hair, and has an elegant temperament. It is a very beautiful working dog with good overall appearance, coordinated proportions, and no exaggeration in any situation. Its shoulder height is approximately 13 to 16 inches.
The Shetland's head appears to be very refined, shaped like a long, blunt wedge that tapers gradually from the ears to the nose. His face looked fashionable and intelligent. They are very cautious when facing strangers. The eyes are medium in size, dark in color, and almond-shaped. The ears are relatively small, very fragile, set high, and their ears will fold forward in the resting room. The nose is black, the lips are close, and the teeth are neat and well-proportioned.
The neck is well-muscled, well-arched, and of sufficient length. The back is level and muscular, the chest is deep, the ribs are well sprung, the waist is slightly arched, and the hips are slightly tilted back. Viewed from the front, the front legs are straight, with well-developed muscles, healthy bones, and clear shape. The upper hind limbs are wide, with well-developed muscles and healthy bones. Viewed from the back, the plantar part is straight.
The tail is short in stature, with sufficient hair volume, slightly forward and stretched, and will become slightly taller when dredged.
